Dallas Had Chance to Take 3-1 Lead in Second-Round Playoff Series

Oklahoma City Thunder Will Host Game 5 on Wednesday

The top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder are trying to even up their second-round playoff series against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night in Dallas.

Despite leading by as many as 14 points, the Dallas Mavericks squandered a chance to take a 3-1 lead in their second-round playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night.

The Mavericks led by 14 points in the third quarter, but the Thunder came back to tie the game at 92-92 with 6:59 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Thunder then took the lead for good on a 3-pointer by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 5:29 remaining.

The Mavericks had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but a 3-pointer by Jalen Brunson bounced off the rim. The Thunder won the game 108-104, tying the series at 2-2.

Dorian Finney-Smith and Jalen Brunson were just two of the Mavericks others to step forward in a Game 4 victory. The Mavericks trailed the Clippers 66-49 at halftime of Game 4 on Sunday at American Airlines Center in Dallas and roared all the way back to take the lead midway through the third quarter.
